LED Flood Lights Provide Quality Illumination and Save Energy
Humanity is the most intelligent species on the planet that is capable of achieving great things. Over the years mankind has invented many products that have proved to be of immense importance for day to day living. One of the most significant inventions made was electricity. The most important source of energy that is used with every piece of technology that we use today is electricity. Thomas Edison was one of the most significant inventors whose imagination and hard work led to the invention of the light bulb. Although these products have undergone many changes over time we can see today a wide variety of bulbs in all households. For many years the normal incandescent light bulbs were used in households but with the invention of the LED lights, the use of incandescent bulb became very rare. The LED lights replaced incandescent lights and these were not only used in residential premises but in corporate set ups as well. Listed below are the benefits of using LED Light Fixture:
Life span - The biggest difference between halogen light bulbs and LED lights is the life span. LED Flood Lights can last up to 80,000 hours while halogen bulbs can last up to 2000 to 6000 hours. Halogen light bulbs work properly only as long as they do not suffer any malfunction. The moment they stop working they are not of any use to the user. The LED lights on the other hand slowly lose their light output. This means that these lights serve 80,000 hours of light but when they start to lose their light output they will not just stop all together but provide a lower level of light for 80,000 hours.
Efficiency - The halogen light bulbs use a tungsten filament which is heated up which produce light. An LED light on the other hand uses two electrodes through which an electric current is passed. The halogen lights use only 10% of the energy which is converted into light while the rest is emitted in the form of heat. The LED lights emit up to 80% light and there is not emission of heat.
No frequent change in bulbs - The heat emitted from the halogen bulb includes the possibility of the bulb popping after which the user is required to change it. While in LED lights there is no need to change the bulb very often as there is no heat emitted from the light.
Safe to use - LED lights are much safer to use than the halogen bulbs which bear the risk of fire or an electrical hazard.
Environmentally safe - LED lighting does not use any harmful toxins while the incandescent lights use tungsten and mercury which pose a danger to the environment. LED lights can also be recycled and are considered as "green" or Earth-Friendly.
As beneficial it is using LED lights they are also easy to install and serve as a onetime investment for the user. The use of LED lighting fixtures is increasing every day in households and corporate set ups due to all these advantages.
